Small Business Plan Makes Profit
In the mid-sixties I had no small business plan. I was in high school I knew very little about setting goals. However, I spent some time reading "Spare Time" a magazine promoting small business startup.
I sold and recruited young people to help me sell a floral
bowl and the Miracle Cloth.
Just think if I had had a small business plan, it would have
taught me stability and responsibility. It's not that I didn't
have any of these qualities. But in a business sense that's
the reason for business plans.
Writing a simpler and less detailed version of a "Business
Plan", is a
6-month plan for new or startup businesses.
Write it for two reasons-
Yourself
To set specific goals for your
small business ideas, such as:
- Where you want to be
- How you are going to get there
- When you will arrive/setting goals
Lenders
Use your plan so they can determine
if they could loan your business
money.
This plan will be separated into 5 parts.
- Statement
- Marketing Plan & Contact Log
- Direct Cost/Unit
- Gross Profit/Unit/Month
- Cash Flow Projection
Your business plan will continue
to change because we live in a changing world.
