Charter Bus Profits Are Easy

Charter bus traveling is big business. Thousands of individuals coordinate tours. Yet a great amount of the business is local and the arrangements are made with close friends, relatives and business associates.

Many center their vacation around charter services. It is relaxing and an enjoyable way to travel.

You can travel free by starting a business as a charter bus coordinator.

You need to ask some questions

  • How do you feel about riding?
  • When did you ride and why?
  • Was it a positive experience?
  • How were the negatives solved?
  • What experience do you have dealing with a group?

A successful charter bus coordinator must juggle a number of tasks.

I’ve coordinated four charters to New York and I started without cash. The first trip I served as a bus captain and the rest I organized them using the experience from the first trip.

Sites visited

  • Knoxville, Tennessee
  • Washington, D.C.
  • Brooklyn, N.Y.
  • Holocaust Museum
  • Smithsonian Institute

In addition to earning cash my family and I rode for free. This is budget travel because many are not able to travel by airplane because the price per person would double.

Necessary steps

  • Select destination and route
  • Select a theme and potential date
  • Research sites to visit
  • Calculate mileage, motel rates and charter fees
  • Prepare sale sheets and mailings information
  • Compile potential client list
  • Recruit assistants
  • Start mailing one year in advance

Total expenses - $18,000

Rate based on 40 passengers

Bus capacity- 51

Rates:$550. per person/4 per room

$575. per person/3 per room

$625. per person/2 per room

Total collected $26,000.

Keep your potential passengers informed.

  • To bring medications
  • Insurance needed
  • Proper identifications. If Passports are required.
  • Emergency contact numbers

I‘ve never had any serious problems with my clients. However, unforeseen situations can occur such as

  1. Accidents
  2. Death
  3. Robbery
  4. Misplaced luggage
  5. Lost of funds

Travel insurance cover most of these issues. Safety precautions and common sense will take care of a number of other issues.

I made sure no one ventured alone. The tour was scheduled tight and besides the bus captain assistance I recruited others to assist with baggage and other tasks.

This is a home based business service that can be developed into fulltime income. As the coordinator you can earn many free trips and see places you’ve never visited.
